At that time he found his hobby of woodturning "turned" from a passion to an obsession. Dick soon found that he needed an outlet for his work. He started doing art shows and placing his work in galleries.
Dick lives in Joliet, Illinois with his best friend/wife Cindy. Dick travels throughout the US and foreign countries teaching and demonstrating woodturning. He is the author of nine books on the art of woodturning and also does a column in "Woodworking at Home".
"Good form is ageless as it will look as good in years to come as it does today."
